Pictures

Lately, things have just been typical, today I got to do driver duties at work and it was a lot better than running the press. So maybe they will eventually see my potential and make me a legit driver. I'm thinking of changing my major again, I think I want to either do something in preparation for law school, or I would just do something that I enjoy like graphic design, even though I would make less money. I'm not sure if anyone reads my blog, but if you do and you feel like commenting about what you think I should do, I would like that. So I thought I would post a bunch of pictures on here.

These pictures were all taken when we went on a drive up around Mt. Timpanogas, this was at a reservoir in American Fork canyon. It was looking very beautiful with all of the fall colors and my beautiful wife.

This was a few weeks ago when I bit my tongue worse than I ever have before. There was a huge chunk of tongue that I thought was going to fall off, but it miraculously healed right back together. You know, I sure have said rude things about cells, but they actually are fascinating and do a pretty good job at what they do.

This picture here was taken at the best concert I have ever been to, Dream Theater. It was totally amazing and it only roused my appetite for seeing more Dream Theater live without bedding it back down properly. Best concert ever would be; Dream Theater headlining with Symphony X playing as well. It would be so incredible. The seats we had were good, but next time I want front row seats, or at least close to that.

Here is a video that shows where our seats are located for the BYU football this year. They are also really good seats.

So anyways these were just a few of the pictures (and one video) of what has been up with us lately, I took all of these pictures (and video) on my iPhone, just can't say enough about how awesome the phone is. But I'll keep taking pictures and post more!

Stalked...

So this week I had a totally weird experience. There's a girl from my work that works on the presses with me, anyways, the other night at about 9:30 she asks me on facebook chat if I would get and bring her fast food, she asked "if your wifey doesn't mind..." I was like "what the?" Kilee wasn't too happy about that. But then I deleted her from my facebook friends and now it's just a totally awkward situation. She hasn't been at work cause she's sick, but she will probably get better sometime... uhg. Well good work news is that today my manager gave me a key to the laundry, and he said starting next week I'm gonna start learning all of the driver duties. I don't know if I will become an official driver or not but that would be cool if I did. The drivers don't have such a monotonous job. But I'm gonna include here a picture of my workspace, and I want to post some more pictures of other fun stuff on here, so check back soon!

The Return of the King, Me...

So I have not written on here in a dog's age and I'm sure that any of the viewers that I once had have now lost faith in my blog and have gone away for good. So now that I have internets again and I'm prepared to knock your socks off, I will resume the posting on this blog. Since last time I have started school, and let me tell you, it is no treat. I started into my major and am taking chemistry and biology and other sciences too, and they just tick me off. I mean, there's just too many theories, and a bunch of them seem to contradict each other, and it seems that each has a purpose of calculating, through mathematics, what something that is friggin small looks or acts like. And cells just make me angry, there is nothing that makes sense about them. According to some videos I have watched, components of DNA replication are like microscopic baseball mits that grab onto little strings, its so bizzare, and I really don't know if I believe any theories in chemistry. My professor claims he doesn't believe some of the theories, and so what the heck am I supposed to believe? Anyways besides school, I read the new Dan Brown book, "The Lost Symbol" and had mixed feelings. I really liked everything about masons and all thier rituals and stuff, which are totally metal, and I liked how he related all of that cool history to Washington DC and our forefathers. But then I think that Dan Brown took the opportunity to preach to the reader about what he thought all kinds of things meant, like how the Bible was about the potential of the human mind. (That doesn't really spoil anything for those of you who may still read it) There are a lot of on which I agree with him, but then theres a lot that sounds like mumbo jumbo too. So anyways If he woulda cut out the preaching, then woulda been a jolly good show, as is its just a good show, or a jolly show, but not both. So in other news, theres not much else. I got an iPhone and it rocks. So I am going to be updating this blog way better now and soon there shall be even awesomer updates like unto pictures and videos! YES! welp better finish my homework.

No internets = stone age

So to my faithful blog visitors, I am sorry, but we no longer have internet at our house and so I have to come to the library to get it, which doesn't exactly happen all that much, but today I decided to drop in and leave a short message because things have been freakin awesome lately. To start it off, I woke up last saturday morning and learned that I had recieved 2 grants! the Federal Pell grant and the Smart grant! It was such a great bundle of news, Perhaps ol Barack Huessein Obama aint that bad after all. Kidding, I gladly accept the money, but he is still an arrogant Anti-American criminal. So then later that day we got free tickets to Kalai courtesy of Dan and his bishop, and it was one awesome concert and I really enjoyed it. Kalai is one funny dude, he was crackin jokes the whole time. So then this week I got a call monday morning that a guy from the BYU laundry, which to me looks more like dry cleaning but maybe that is the same thing, called me and offered me a job! He says ill be running a pants press and that i can just listen to my ipod the whole time! Things really just couldnt be better! So yeah good times despite not being able to connect to the internets at home, which now that I will be employed I'm sure we can afford to get it soon! It also seemed like other good stuff was happening but I can't remember, I'm gonna change my major on thursday to Excersize Science. Its not like I'm much an excersizer or anything, but I guess its an easy major that fulfills all pre-med requirements. I wonder if I can listen to my ipod the whole time as a doctor? I bet so!!

The New

So theres not all that much new with me, things are going good overall. Yesterday Kilee had her rough day that you can read about on her blog, but we can only go up from here! And Kilee looks very beautiful and her hair (although it didnt turn out as planned) looks good. So a cool thing that I have been doing lately is getting free food from burger king. They have this transformers game where you get a little game piece on thier cups or fries, and there are two areas that you can scratch off and every game piece has a 50% chance of winning. Well I have had excellent luck and have been getting free food for a while, I've gotten 2 cheeseburgers, a croissant-which, fries, a drink, french toast sticks and a chocolate shake. All for free. It has been very nice! I may have to go and get my second cheeseburger today. Also there is this restaurant here in Utah called Chic-fil-a and they have some mucho grubbin nuggets, they are dang good! So yeah well thats all that is new for now, I have slacked tremendously with my posting lately and I promise I will do better! So until next time!

So I found out that Kilee is a wild one! as you can tell from this video, I was scared just watching her, someone would have to pay me quite a bit to go on this thing. We went to Lagoon yesterday with Kilee's family and it was a lot of fun, we went on most all of the rides and I got sunburnt. Then afterwards we went to sizzler and I enjoyed some bacon wrapped steaks. Thanks to the Wells family for coming up and making this weekend really fun! Also we went to the Nelson's cabin on the fourth and it was really a lot of fun too, there was a ton of good food and everyone was enjoying themselves. We also got to sit on top of the motor home and watch fireworks that were really close, it was awesome. So now I am back at home jobless and bored again, I had almost forgot what it was like to be bored, but I remember now. Well now that I know how to get videos from my phone to the computer I will have to start doing this more, although the quality isn't the greatest its still pretty cool. Alright well I think I will post again soon!

Transformers and Movies

I'm just sitting here bored on the computer wondering how is it that the internets could be so huge yet so boring sometimes. I need a job. Anyways, in my browsing of the web of the world I have noticed a ton of previews for the new Transformers movie and I must say that I'm just not really that excited for it and I will tell you why. The first transformer movie just confused the heck out of me. The whole time I had no idea what was going on, if there was a plot, they only talked about it a couple of times. The transformers don't have much of a form at all when they are not in a GM car form, they looked like a giant heap of metal shards, so when they fought it looked like an even more giant heap of metal shards and you had no idea who is who and if the good guy is winning or losing. To make matters even worse, they put these fight scenes on screen with an extreme close up to prevent any coherence. I'm just getting started here, also the real actors were so stupid that nothing ever made sense and I was confused to whole time as to whether something was supposed to be serious or a joke, Like where the FBI or CIA or whoever comes to Lewis Steven's house at first I thought that was a serious part but afterwards I think it may have been intending to be funny, I have no idea. Also the parents are like the biggest morons ever and they need acting lessons so I got confused with them too, I had no idea what was serious or if there was supposed to be anything serious. When I first watched it, I think I enjoyed it some, I loved Transformers as a kid, and so just to see the whole idea brought to a movie was cool for me. But over time, I realize that it was rude of them to tempt me with awesome transformers and make such a crappy movie. And my youthful love of transformers is what brings me to my final point that is the biggest let down of the movie, and is also the main reason that I don't want to see the new one. The Transformers in the movie are totally wimpy! The decepticons are these totally awesome fighters and the autobots are a bunch of pansies. its only the humans that kill the bad guys and the good transformers just get whooped the whole time. When I was little Optimus Prime was the coolest robot ever, and on the cartoon he was so cool. I wonder how the writing process of this film went, they probably thought, "You know what would make a great movie? lets take the greatest hero and make him totally gay and lame." Well it didn't impress me any. If the true Optimus was in this movie, he would have looked less like scrap metal and he would have kicked Megatron's bootay. Instead he gives speeches while being thrown off buildings and ripped to shreds. And in the end Lewis Stevens takes a break from patty cake to put his favorite box on megatron's heart, which is so tender that it breaks his heart and he goes into a coma. Talk about the stupidest ending I have ever witnessed. There are actually a few other movies that embrace the "make the hero look gay at the end" strategy, for example Iron Man, which I did like that movie, but was disappointed at the end when iron man is about to bite the dust and he calls his girlfriend pepperpan on the phone and she kills the bad guy! Bahahaha its like a scooby doo plot development or something! How bout a better ending? I'll write it now, Iron man, after making the bad guy freeze, rips out the real glowy heart thing and powers his suit to 100% and then rips the bad guy's body in half and flips him off as he crashes and burns on the ground below! I got excited just thinking about that ending! I'll just pretend it was the real one! So anyways this post has been very rambly, and I should probably stop, but the moral is, Transformers the first movie sucked and I hope the second is better but I'm not wasting money to see it in the theater. What does everyone else think of these movies? And do you, like me, think that the "make the hero a wuss" strategy is totally lame? Please comment!
